Bob van Dijk

Bob van Dijk is a graduate from the Royal Academy of Fane Arts The Hague, who has gone on to work as a senior designer for Studio Dumbar and for numerous clients such as Shell International, Telecom, PT Post, The Netherlands Ministry Agriculture Nature and Ministry of Transport and The Dutch National Theatre.

A graduate from the Royal Academy of Fane Arts The Hague, Bob has gone on to work as a senior designer for Studio Dumbar and for numerous clients such as Shell International, Telecom, PT Post, The Netherlands Ministry Agriculture Nature and Ministry of Transport and The Dutch National Theatre.

 

Bob was co-founder of NLXL a studio for graphic design for 7 years, and meanwhile visiting professor at LAU University in Byblos, Lebanon. Pieces of his work are in MOMA - New York and The Stedelijk Museum - Amsterdam. Bob is a frequent speaker and gives workshops all over the world.

Bob was a teacher at the Royal Academy of Arts and is a passionate advocate for his own brand The Obtimist where he explores so-called 'positive design', playfulness with ideas, words playing against images. He lives in The Netherlands, with his Croatian wife and children, living a trilingual life.

In 2006 he was selected as member of Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI).
